Activate Your Hardware Agent in 6 Steps
Step 1: Connect Your Device
Unbox your hardware agent and connect its LAN port to a DHCP-enabled port on your router or modem. Ensure all connected devices can obtain an IP address from your network.
You may connect it to a switch if needed so long as devices connect. You may connect it to a switch if needed so long as devices connected to this switch can get an IP from your upstream DHCP service.
Step 2: Power Up Your Agent
Use a USB power source with at least 1 amp to power your agent. It will start communicating with our network shortly after powering up.
If you have purchased a sensor-enabled agent, connect the sensor to the USB port before powering up. It should auto detect and be enabled in your dashboard.
Step 3: Create Your Account
If you haven’t already, sign up at app.isptracker.com and log into your control panel to manage your devices.

Step 4: Activate Hardware Agent
Click on the Agents menu item if you are not already on this page. Then click on the “Activate hardware agent” option.
Step 5: Enter credentials
Cut/Paste the credentials that were emailed to you in the correct sections.

Step 6: Start monitoring
Your agent is now assigned to your account and will appear in your list of agents if you have multiple ones. Allow your Internet monitoring agent to run continuously so it can record any issues with your Internet connection.
NOTICE: Our hardware devices are shipped using firmware that is purpose-built to act as a simple LAN-sided device behind a firewall. NEVER install agents directly to the Internet as these are not security-hardened devices. Activating your agent means that you understand this and take full responsibility.
