The 7-inch ISP Tracker Display Agent

The 7-inch ISP Tracker Display Agent is a 7-inch desktop display currently under development. We have several working versions and prototypes, but the product is not yet generally available.

It is intended to provide an at-a-glance view of connection status, problems, alerts, and useful monitoring information at locations where people need to see current conditions quickly.

The Display Agent builds on the Local Status view included with every ISP Tracker agent, presenting connection status and monitoring information on a dedicated always-visible display. Any running agent can be accessed locally to see its own Local Status.

Offices, IT areas, network operations areas, support desks, equipment rooms, and other locations can benefit from an always-visible Internet status display while staff are doing other work.

A dedicated physical status point

The Display Agent is intended to make current Internet conditions visible without logging in, keeping a browser open, or leaving the ISP Tracker dashboard running on a workstation.

The concept is similar to the live status and assessment information being developed as part of ISP Tracker’s newer monitoring experience, presented on a dedicated physical display that can remain visible continuously.
