Dedicated Hardware Agents
Always-on Internet monitoring without a computer
ISP Tracker does not require dedicated hardware. Software agents are free to download and can run on supported Windows and Linux systems. For locations where continuous, independent monitoring is more important, dedicated hardware agents provide another option.
Hardware agents are small, low-power devices dedicated to monitoring the Internet connection 24/7. They continue monitoring independently of computers and servers that may be rebooted, shut down, moved, or used for other purposes.
They are especially useful for remote locations, offices, network closets, equipment rooms, utility cabinets, customer locations, and other places where there may not be a suitable computer available to run a software agent.

100Mbps Hardware Agent
![]()
Internet monitoring does not always require repeatedly saturating a connection with full-speed tests. In many cases, what matters is knowing whether usable bandwidth is available and whether the connection is behaving normally.
Our 100Mbps agents are well suited for continuous monitoring while keeping bandwidth and data usage low. This makes them useful for remote locations, metered or cellular connections, backup links, and other locations where dependable monitoring matters more than constantly measuring maximum Internet speed.
2.5Gbps Hardware Agent

For faster Internet connections, the monitoring hardware should not become the limiting factor.
Our 2.5Gbps agents provide a 2.5Gbps wired interface for connections approaching or exceeding 1Gbps, along with dual-band Wi-Fi capabilities. Each agent is configured and tested before shipping.
Additional capabilities on select hardware
Some ISP Tracker hardware agents can do more than monitor a wired Internet connection. Available capabilities depend on the hardware model and intended use.
Camera support
Select 100Mbps hardware agents can use compatible UVC webcams. Camera access and configuration can be managed through ISP Tracker, making this useful for remote equipment rooms, cabinets, buildings, and other unattended locations.
Wi-Fi, LTE, 4G and 5G monitoring
Select hardware agents can monitor wired or wireless Internet connections, including cellular services. This can be useful for remote locations, backup connections, temporary installations, and sites where wired Internet service is not available.
Environmental monitoring
Environment-enabled hardware agents can monitor the Internet connection and local conditions at the same time. Depending on the sensor configuration, measurements can include temperature, humidity, light, barometric pressure, sound, air quality, vibration, and other environmental conditions.
Alerts can be generated when monitored conditions move outside configured limits.
Remote Access Service
Select 100Mbps hardware agents can also provide secure remote access to equipment inside a remote network without requiring administrators to expose management interfaces directly to the Internet.
This can be useful for accessing routers, firewalls, equipment controllers, configuration interfaces, and other systems at remote or unattended locations.
Private DNS services
Select 100Mbps hardware agents include DNS services that can be used by devices on the local network. This can provide an additional local DNS option without relying exclusively on the Internet provider’s DNS service.
Hardware is optional
Software and hardware agents can be mixed as needed. A software agent may be the simplest option for one location, while dedicated hardware may make more sense for another.
The goal is not to require special hardware, but to provide a monitoring option that fits locations where always-on, independent monitoring or additional hardware capabilities are useful.
